1. These Terms and Conditions shall govern the access and use of data on this platform upon acceptance of all the terms and conditions provided herein;

2. Unless inconsistent with the context, the expressions set forth below shall bear the following meaning:

Definitions

2.1 Access: shall mean the access of the contacts granted by “Childline Zanzibar” to the User, subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement;

2.2 Agreement or terms and conditions: shall mean those terms and conditions contained herein and any variation witnessed in writing;

2.3 C-Sema: C-Sema is a not-for-profit organisation established to promote and protect children’s rights in Tanzania. In this agreement, C-Sema is the content creator.

2.4 Childline Zanzibar: It is a public service that C-Sema runs on behalf of the government through a formal agreement with SMZ;

2.5 Registered user: A registered user means a subscriber / user who has been accepted and activated to use the referral directory;

2.6 Childline Zanzibar Service Providers Directory: has names, locations, positions and mobile numbers / landline numbers of every government official responsible for children affairs in the country.

2.7 User Activation: This is done at C-SEMA's discretion and with substantive evidence that the applying user is acting in favour of public interest.

3. If any provision in a definition is a substantive provision, conferring rights or imposing obligations on either Party, notwithstanding that it is only in the definition clause, effect shall be given to it as if it were a substantive provision of this Agreement.

4. By accessing and using the website at (portal/ directory link here) you are agreeing to be bound by these terms of service, all applicable laws and regulations and you agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable Tanzania laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using, proceeding or accessing this site.

5. Terms and conditions

5.1 That for the USER to access our services they ought to be registered as subscribers of our services.

5.2 That the USER ought to observe that the contact details of the service providers shall not be used for personal use but for the public’s greater good.

5.3 That the USER shall observe that communication with the service providers shall only be subjected to working hours meaning not later than 6 pm (18.00hours), on working days.

5.4 That the USER shall initiate communication with a service provider limited to his/her current geographical location only.

5.5 That the USER shall be solely responsible for evaluating the accuracy and completeness of the content and the value and integrity thereof and accordingly. C-SEMA shall not be party to or in any way responsible for any transaction concerning the content or defects therein.

5.6 That the USER shall at all times remain responsible to confidentiality of any information or data received or transmitted by the USER to our data base.

5.7 That the USER confirms that he/she shall not use the Services/ Contacts for any criminal or dishonest purpose and shall be solely responsible for any consequences arising from such criminal or immoral acts.
